I [H E A R T] Breakfast | Dalton Court, 10 July 2005

I'm happy to announce the smashing success of last Sunday's GRAND HOUSE STUDENT CO-OP's fundraising event - lovingly dubbed "I [heart] Breakfast" - where over 170 (!) Cambridge locals, UW students and bewildered passersby enjoyed a hearty pancake brunch in front of the School.

Good times were had by all.   An eclectic range of breakfast music was provided by a talented ensemble of 4B's.   Wildflowers graced the tables.   The pancakes were augmented with sausages, various fruits and sauces, and fair-trade coffee.   Not a single paper plate or plastic utensil was used thanks to diligent dishwashers.

After the breakfast, remaining patrons and still more bewildered passersby were treated to - you guessed it - a RAWK show (!), nestled in the lush, soon-to-be-mowed vegetation of Dalton Court's stage, along the river.   Local bands Atomic Drops and Hotkid were kind enough to provide scorching tunes to accompany the scorching weather.   Let's just say, it is not everyday that unexpected gems like this happen round here.   This goes for the entire breakfast event.
