VOLUNTEER WORK WEEKEND!!

Come on out this Saturday and Sunday, November 15th and 16th - 10am-6pm (or anywhere
inbetween) to help with the last few items on our check list. Painting, cleaning, attaching,
polishing...maybe still some building. We're almost there!! Come on out, get a great look of
the house from inside. Meet all the people that have been making this happen, help make it
happen, and enjoy some lunch (made by the incredible Chantal Cornu!!).

No fall arrest necessary, just cloths you don't mind getting dirty and any other personal
safety equipment.

WE ARE BUILDING!!!

We have started construction, both on site and in the shop. See the calendar below.
The spaces in GREEN indicate volunteer spaces available on a first come first serve
basis for any given day. Our schedule is currently for weekdays, but this will change
over the coming weeks, so stay posted. We request that volunteers interested in
volunteering can make a regular commitment - at least once per week or one weekend
per month (when available).

To volunteer, you will need WHIMIS and Fall Arrest Training for all volunteers interested in
working on the construction site. Group training sessions are also indicated on the calendar
below.

If you would like to volunteer, start building and need to come for a training session,
please contact us here.

Your name will go down (in green) on the calendar and we will expect you to be ready to
help that day, we start at 8:00am.

If you cannot keep your time spot contact us ASAP, without good reasoning and
adequate time, you may not be invited back - just to let you know. But please come out.

We have a great full-time crew and this is a great opportunity to learn some new skills
and make a lasting difference in our community.

OTHER VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Voting membership to the Grand House Co-op is open to anyone, students and non-
students, who attends 3 meetings in a given time periode.

If you'd like to help out and volunteer, we've got many upcoming opportunites for you,
from working on the job site, helping to organize one of our great events, and
collecting materials, to helping prepare the volunteer lunches during the build.
